CUBBI

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions when selling your vehicle to Cubbi.

Q: Can I have my car appraised online?

A: No, unfortunately not, as an online appraisal would not be accurate. It is necessary for Cubbi to conduct a physical inspection of your car and take it for a test drive to provide an all-inclusive assessment of its value.

Q: Do I have to make an appointment for an appraisal?

A: Although it is not mandatory, we highly recommend scheduling an appointment before visiting us for an appraisal. Our team members may have their hands full attending to other customers, and we would hate to keep you waiting or make you feel unvalued. By arranging a specific time, we can guarantee that one of our specialists is able to give you their undivided attention.

Q: What if it isn't possible for all titleholders to be present during the appraisal?

A: If all titleholders cannot attend, kindly reach out to us to speak with one of our vehicle-purchase representatives. They will analyse your situation and offer suggestions on what can be done. In some cases, we may approve the use of a power of attorney, which authorises another individual to sign on behalf of the titleholder. If one of the titleholders has passed on, you'll need to transfer the car into your name before selling it to us. This can be done at your local vehicle registration office, where you can present the title and related documents.

Q: What exactly is a bank draft?

A: A bank draft is a form of bank-issued check that assures the recipient that the funds are guaranteed and available. To access the money, the check must be deposited rather than cashed. Before accepting a bank draft, it is prudent to seek advice from your bank regarding its policy on holding funds.

Q: Is it permissible to sell my leased car?

A: In most instances, it is possible to sell your leased car just as you would with any other financed vehicle. We'll assess its value and contact your leasing company to obtain a payoff quote while handling any equity available to you. However, keep in mind that some leasing firms may prohibit you from selling your car before the lease has expired.

Q: What if my car has a lien on it?

A: If there is a lien on your vehicle, we will need to communicate with your lien holder to obtain a 15-day payoff. It is essential to provide us with the name and contact information of your lien holder, and we will contact them during regular business hours to negotiate.
